A REVOLUTIONARY NEW APPROACH TO TEACHING

At Global Moonshots in Education our mission is to enable every child to reach their fullest potential by being fully engaged and inspired in their learning. The 21st century demands a fundamental shift in the mindset and culture of teaching today.

The fundamental shift is to give students more control and agency in the classroom. To achieve, the role of the teacher needs to change from the lecture model to the mentor/coach on the side model.  That is the teacher needs to change from the “sage on the stage” to “the guide on the side.”  The more a teacher does for a student in the learning process, the less empowered the student is.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

OUR PHILOSOPHY

When educators adopt a powerful, new mindset, anything is truly possible. We believe that every child deserves to be taught in a way that enriches their minds, that unlocks their true potential, and provides them with lifelong skills to really flourish in today’s world.

Global Moonshots in Education is grounded in a new model of teaching based on the principles from “Moonshots in Education. Launching Blended Learning in the Classroom” by Esther Wojcicki. The book discusses groundbreaking research and social proof of successfully implementing the model in Palo Alto, Silicon Valley. The results have been extraordinary and we believe that this model can be embraced by schools around the world.
